Callie Mae Jones
1920-2021
Not Just A Name, but A Legacy
Callie Mae McIntosh Jones was born on April 14, 1920 in Calhoun Falls,South Carolina. She was the last daughter l and thirteenth of the fifteen children born to the late Gerod McIntosh and Lula Elmore McIntosh.
In the Spring of the year 1938 she married the love of her life, Coley Allen Jones and shared a union of 54 years until he was called from labor to reward in October 1992.
Callie Mae loved to laugh and have fun. She was very good with children and young people. She loved to learn new things and was always a joy to be around.
She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Church of God Holiness in Calhoun Falls,South Carolina. She served for many years as a Missionary, on the hospitality committee, and pastoral parsonage. ​
Callie Mae loved being in the kitchen, not because she was a great cook, but because she loved to serve. Some of her best culinary creations were her scratch-made Pound Cakes and Sweet Potato Custard Pies, and the Best Fried Chicken you have ever tasted.
